Koh Phangan Full Moon Party Paradise Island – A Happy New Year 2009?

Koh Phangan Haadrin Party Fee 01
Koh Phangan Haadrin Party Fee

As the New Year 2009 blossom may the journey of your life be fragrant with new opportunities, your days be bright with new hopes and your heart be happy with love!

Love to you all & the best wishes from the Koh Phangan Island News Headquarters.

New reports have been received and also officially reconfirmed by Koh Phangan Island News Headquarters that the so called Haad Rin Business Association was again charging an entrance fee of 100 THB only for each foreign tourist arriving for the New Years Eve party at world infamous Haad Rin beach.

What first started as a Full Moon Party entrance fee only for tourist arriving from neighboring Koh Samui Island soon developed to a general Full Moon Party Fee for all foreign tourists wanting to celebrate the bright Full Moon at world infamous Haad Rin Beach at the south coast of Koh Pha-Ngan Island.

Now new regulations by the Haad Rin Business Association have been reconfirmed and a general Haad Rin Party Fee will now be charged of every foreign tourist arriving either from Koh Samui by boat or from any other destination by taxi, car or motorbike.

The new Haadrin Beach Party Fee will be charged for all major party events like Christmas Eve, New Years Eve, Thai New Year (Songkran Festival) and of course every Full Moon Party!

Entrance Fee will be 100 THB per foreign tourist while Thais can enter for free, of course!

Road blocks by local security forces will be setup at all major entry points at Hadrin Beach, e.g. the pier and main access road and tourist will be issued with a wristband as proof of paid entry.

Tourists already staying at Hadrin beach won’t be charged an entrance fee as long as they don’t leave Haadrin Beach area. If you decide to go for an island tour throughout the day and arrive at the Haadrin Party Road Block Entrance Fee Gate early evening you will be forced to pay the Haadrin Party Entrance Fee of 100 THB only!

Amazing Thailand? Unforgettable Thailand? Sabai … Sabai 😉

Although security forces are next to non existence, the protected sleeping area has been removed months ago, a public health care service does not exist at all and the beach cleanup in the morning is done by some cheap labour Burmese guys, the so called Haad Rin Business Association still claims that the enormous profit collected from unsuspecting foreign tourists is used to clean and secure the beach.

A massive scam? A typical rip off? You better decide!

Though there are new rumors about a brand new beach cleaning machine! Isn’t that awesome 😉

And finally a few reports have been received by reliable Island sources stating that a German long term tourist, who had been on and off the island for the last few years and decided to open up a shop at Hadrin Beach, had been electrocuted by some faulty equipment, a wet floor and a typical island style electric wire installation.

This incident was reported a few days prior to the New Years Eve Party. May God bless his soul!

So … enjoy the new Haad Rin Party Fee & a Happy New Year!

Namaste …

the letter I saw from the Hadrin business association said that all people would be charged, and that bunglaow owners in hadrin would be asked to charge people staying there as well.

and I heard from a Thai local that Thai people coming over from Samui on the speedboats had to pay the fee as well.

I don’t mind the fee but they have to put in more toilets, clean the beach better and add more security.

Yeah i would agree with this, I know the people who run this sight are sure its just gonna fatten the pockets of the buisness owners! Maybe they are right but if it does get invested in to toilets, rubbish cleaning etc then it can only be a good thing!

There is only one answer to the greed of the so called “haadrin business association”:

    – JOINT BOYCOTT!!!

Stay away from haadrin, stay away from any of these so called “parties”!
    It’s as easy as that!

The money greed of a few people in this hadrin group – The pier owner and his wife and his son and the woman owner of PJ Travel and the owner of Siam Spa are killing the businesses of many Thai not just in Hadrin but across the island. I heard there is going to be a war soon between the Thais on the island as many thai bizness are not making money because of thai in hadrin. Thais across the island have had enough of the Haadrin Mafia, so farangs simply stand back and let them sort it out themselves and they will hopefully kill each other then the island will get back to normal. If not Haadrin will die anyway and this group will deserve everything they will not recieve fanancially in the future. Businesses will be FOR RENT. Say goodbye to tourists.

erwin, the german guy who died in haad rin cause an electric shock on the 28th of december was a good friend of mine. what i want to say is: in case of a serious accident DON’T bring any patient to the BANDON “HOSPITAL” on the haad rin pier. they have NO emergency room, NO defibrillator or respiration apparatus!!!!!!
in fact: it’s NO hospital, any ambulance car in europe have more equipment!

All you people saying its great to charge for increase security, extra toilet … you are stupid. Non of this money goes to this – its all corruption money – it goes into the pocket of the local mafia group. Dont you understand. All of it. Non of it is used to help tourist. Non of it.

You think its bad for tourist. I work for a dive school on the island and I was at full moon party and saw 4 people from Koh Tao wearing Simple Life scandanavian tshirts giving out brochures trying to convince people to dive with them. I know non of them have work permit to do this and this is not good for Koh Phangan as at our dive school we must have work permit which costs me alot of money in permit and tax and these people are taking business off our island. Its okay if they are legal but for sure they are not. This should not be allowed. Anyway for sure immigration will get them in the future as they are always doing raids on koh phangan -that will remove those big smiles off their faces! jaja!!

hard luck mate. this is Thailand and every one copies everyone and do it illegally. There’s not much you can do about it unless the immigration catch them but you never know when immigration is coming! If you are legal then you wont be caught by immigration so look at that as a positive thing. There is another an Irish guy called Tom from Asia dive Koh Tao who has been working here for years and I dont think he has a work permit either but I think he has not had immigration catch him … not yet anyway! There must be a lot more than these 2 companys too.

I agree with what was said about Bandon hospital. Two girls from Sweden died a few years back – they had no equipment then either … and it seems they still have not!!! I was told one of the girls actually was brought back to life by CPR but she died when they tried to take her to The government hospital in Thong Sala in the back of a pick up truck as they could not continue the CPR as the driver was driving like a maniac! So she died! They did not even have an ambulance then! They are not a hospital – they are a front to simply extort money out of your insurance companies!! First question when you go in is do you have insurance – if you say yes, then the price doubles!’ And of course they rent it from the guy who owns the pier so he gets a percentage too!

I feel its like disrespecting companies that are paying alot of money to set up a workpermit for foreign employees, and then someone else is going out working without a workpermit. I dont care if its divers or someone else just working in a small clothes shop. If no work permit, u shouldnt be here. I hope the imigration will get u soon. As an legal employee of a company, paying my tax, I will turn u in if I ever get the chance.
And yes, I also heard about the Simple Life divers walking the streets of Haad Rin, pissing off local business owners. They should be brave to do another walk – if they dare…..
