Sawadee Khrap and a very rainy welcome to Koh Phangan Island News, the one and only online magazine offering fresh and up-to-date news from the island of madness in the Gulf of Thailand.
Well … it’s raining a lot on Koh Phangan at the moment and therefore it’s probably a good time to introduce you to some more wicked topics the island of madness has to offer.
The whole story started a few months back after finishing lunch at my most favorite Isaan restaurant close to Thongsala. Filled up with fresh Som Tum papaya salad, Nam Tok Muu & some saticky rice and ready to pay the bill, Pii Nui, the mother of Pii Don, asked me if I do believe in spirits, ghosts and that sort of stuff? Abso-fucking-lutely I replied …
Then Pii Nui showed me a few photographs which had been taken recently when her son Pii Don held a healing ceremony with one of his patients. And the photographs were indeed quiet bizarre with all those orange light strings and that green illuminating thingy behind Pii Don. Something accomplished with the new Adobe Photoshop CS4?
However … as Becki is always interested in that other wicked multi dimensional stuff I realized that I had to dig deeper to get to the core of the story. So I arranged a few meetings with my friend Pii Don to receive some more insights to find out the awful truth!
But first I have to mention that I know Pii Don since many years and actually never had the impression that there’s something sort of special about him. Of course he always seemed like a nice guy, smiling and friendly and most of the time in a good mood, but seriously couldn’t find anything special about him. He always helps his mom in the Isaan restaurant preparing food and washing the dishes and that sort of thingy. Nothing strange … nothing suspicious … just that normal average guy you would expect helping out his mom at the family restaurant.
But then since the last few months I noticed a serious change! First there was this 'new room' downstairs next to the restaurant filled up with all those images and statues of Buddha and other gods from Chinese and Hindu culture. Incense sticks, candles and all that sort of worship stuff you would expect in a shrine for the gods.
Then secondly there were all those people visiting Pii Don on a regular base. Pii Don was no longer helping out his mom in the kitchen, instead he was mostly occupied with that constant stream of people paying him a visit and doing whatever they were doing in that room dedicated to the gods.
So … now let’s hear what Pii Don has to say and to make things a 100% sure I even went with a good Thai friend of mine to help me translate every single word so I won’t publish any false information here.
The story of Pii Don:
When Pii Don was a kid he always observed his auntie, who also happened to be something you could call a spiritual healer, doing healing ceremonies with patients. While Pii Don was watching these ceremonies he always wished that he would also have these ‘special powers’ helping other people. Impatient he once asked his aunt and she replied that he should not worry about anything when the time is right it will happen.
Then at the age of 18 years Pii Don woke up in the morning in his bed and was unable to move – simply paralyzed without any reason at all! They called his aunt and she just said that the spirits have arrived and Pii Don would need a cleaning ceremony to welcome the spirits into his body.
Exactly that time, the future teacher (Adjahn) of Pii Don, whom he didn’t know at all at this point, had a vision about his future student and managed to get in contact with his aunt and they finally could proceed the body cleaning ceremony for Pii Don to welcome the spirits.
After 3 days of being paralyzed the symptoms disappeared as quick as they came and the spirits finally found a new channel.
Then for the next 5 years Pii Don’s live developed a bit strange as he started seeing lots of bizarre things around him. Things like auras, spirits, and ghosts and then there was always this voice in his head explaining to him what he was seeing. Shocked by his new abilities and still unsecure about what he was seeing and mostly worried about what other people would think about him, Pii Don decided to simply not tell anyone about what he was experiencing.
During his years as an apprentice Pii Don continued seeing bizarre things, received teachings in his dreams and continuously heard this familiar voice in his head telling him insights about what he saw. At one point he even started actually seeing the spirits who have chosen him and are known in the Thai language as ‘Prasiwah’ or also ‘Akarah’.
‘Akarah’ is well know in the ancient Thai culture and means the serpent – the snake! And finally brings us back to the human reptilians decent as mentioned by various other sources, e.g. David Icke.
Over the years Pii Don was then introduced to other helping spirits and at the moment Pii Don is working together with 3 different entities. One entity is known to him as ‘Pho Phu Dam’ and is also well known in the Thai culture. The other two spiritual entities are from the Hindu and Chinese culture and unfortunately Becki forgot their names – sorry!
When asking Pii Don about these spiritual entities … are they ghosts? Souls? Spirits?
He simply says they could be seen as ‘human beings’ but just living in a different dimension mostly not known to humans.
Each spiritual entity has its own special skills and they do help each other while treating patients. During the healing treatment Pii Don mainly acts as a channel / medium/ device which let the spiritual entities simply act / communicate in our 3 dimensional world.

So now let’s have a closer look at the photographs from the healing ceremony and let Pii Don explain in his own words.
First thing you need to know it that the healing ceremony was about removing a black magic spell from the patient’s body which was injected by a Cambodian black magic magician / sorcerer, a person who casts spells on other people. Yep … that sort of stuff actually does exit – believe it or not!
How does Pii Don know about all that? Well … the helping spirits simply tell him and the patient.
So … when I first looked at the pictures and saw those orange light strings I thought that’s easy to explain because Pii Don is holding some incense sticks in his hands and therefore it’s just a reflection of the incense stick glow ;-) Got ya’
But actually these are not incense sticks just some plain and simple bamboo sticks used to sprinkle ‘holy water’ (naam mon) onto the patient.
Pii Don explains the orange / red light strings and orangey glow around his body simply as the illumination of the helping spirit which possesses his body during the healing ceremony.
The green something thingies behind Pii Don’s back are other entities called by the helping spirit to perform specific tasks on the patient. There are many different kinds of helpers, each with a specific skill, and the once you can clearly see in the pictures are the snake and the elephant.
And then on this photograph you can see those orange lines at the back of the patient while Pii Don is pouring ‘holy water’ on the head and back of the patient. According to Pii Don those orange lines are spells cast by the spiritual entity to counteract the black magic spell and help protect the patient. Pii Don even showed me a book with hundreds of those spells in it.
Once the treatment is finished the patient feels a sudden relief and the symptoms totally disappear over the next couple of days and normally never come back again. So far Pii Don’s success rate is at 100% and patients, once treated and healed, normally stay healthy and never complain again.

According to Pii Don the majority of treatments he performs are about ‘black magic spells’ from this life or even past lives which patients have been carrying around with them for sometimes a very long time!
Next on his treatment list are body disorders caused by parasites which can be easily removed via various herbal mixtures. Then recently Pii Don cured a woman who lost the ability to speak clearly and mostly sounded like a deaf woman speaking. After a few weeks of treatment her voice came back and she spoke totally normal again.
Pii Don also does astrology readings on your horoscope and recently he was also introduced by his spiritual helper 'Pho Phu Dam' to the art of body massage, pressure points and energetic meridians of the human body.
And Becki indeed got first hand experience as I was having a sort of stiff neck and shoulder pain for about 10 days a couple of weeks ago. I went for treatment at another massage guy on the island for about 10 days and it always felt quite nice immediately after the massage but the next day in the morning the pain was even stronger.
So the other day enjoying my usual lunch at Pii Don’s mom Isaan restaurant Pii Don looked at me and asked ‘What’s wrong with you? You look a bit stiff today!’
So I told Pii Don about my stiff neck and shoulder problem for the last few days and he replied ‘Have lunch first I will have a look afterwards!’
After delicious lunch Becki went in the shrine of the gods, took my shirt off and Pii Don had a look. He asked if the other massage guy had opened my ‘patoo lom’ the ‘door of the wind’? Explaining that you need to open the energetic meridians of the body so the trapped energy in my neck and shoulder has a way to get out of my system.
Then a few pushes here and a few stretches there and in about 10-15 minutes Becki felt fresh as a daisy again and was stunned by the effects of that short treatment which actually didn’t feel like a ‘normal’ Thai massage at all! Just a few pushes with the thumb … a bit rubbing with the fingers … and a bit patting on my back and Becki was as good as new! Awesome! Looks like this guy knows what he is doing!
So I asked Pii Don where he learned all that stuff. He replied he never went to a proper Thai massage school and instead introduced me to his spiritual helpers and the voice in his head telling him where to push, what to stretch and how to do it!
And as an effect this article was born ;-)
Hope you enjoyed it and please post comments and share your experience, opinions or whatsoever. But please in a nice manner – thanks!
