Welcome back to Koh Phangan Island News the one and only news magazine reporting the awful truth about the island of madness, formerly also known as Koh Phangan Paradise Island.
Well … it has been a while since my last post and in the meantime a few more dead bodies might have been washed up the shores on some of the pristine white sandy beaches of Koh Phangan Paradise Island :-)
A few more tourists might have been killed in some tragic road accidents … a few more tourists might have been arrested by local police task force regarding possession of well known illegal substances … a few more tourists might have enjoyed the night of their life at the world infamous Full Moon Party … and a few more tourists might have gotten infected with the H1N1 swine flu virus due to the recent swine flu outbreak on the island of madness!
But after all one question still remains!
Who ordered the gun shot attack on Becki’s life in the morning of 30th March 2009?
I think we all can agree that the gun shot attack had indeed something to do with the Techno Party Battlefield in and around Baan Tai village. Especially after local Koh Phangan Authorities got their asses kicked by some higher forces from capital city Bangkok and the resulting new party regulations of each party organizer once a month only until 6 am.
Those stupid new party regulations must have pissed off quite a few people on the Island Of Madness as money didn’t flow as it was supposed to in the recent years with its highest peak around Jan / Feb 2009 with approximately 10-15 all night long parties per month in and around techno party capital village Baan Tai.
So let’s start from the top to the bottom, measured in money units, and find out who might be responsible for the gun shot attack on Becki’s life!

At the very top we got the friendly & helpful Koh Phangan Authorities with the so called Nai Amphoe, chief of district, surrounded by the chief of police and his team of totally non-corrupt police officers. Those guardians of law are more than happy to turn a blind eye on any situation as long as a constant flow of money is guaranteed. Any party organizer is obliged to provide some form of benefits to this island institution, otherwise … well … no money … no honey ;-)
A bit down the ladder we got the Half Moon Festival with their party motto of ‘Come and satisfy your soul’. According to our senior techno party analyst the new party regulations cut their monthly profit by approximately 500.000 THB. For some original Koh Phangan Thai locals enough reason to go insane and start shooting?
Next there’s the Black Moon Culture! Not that much affected by the new party regulations as it always has been a once per month party during the new moon but still in the list of potential suspects?
Then we got the Baan Sabai After Party, relatives of the Black Moon Culture, sort of massively affected by the new party regulations as less parties in general means less after hour parties at Baan Sabai … means less profit for the money hungry Thai locals. Another candidate for the gun shot attack?
Furthermore there’s the Jungle Experience Party but after all those guys haven’t been very successful but even they might have gotten upset with those annoying party regulations?
Lastly we can even point fingers towards the Shiva Moon Family as they also lost their second party night each month. Enough motive for a gun shot attack?
As you can easily see there are quite a few options. So … who’s your most favorite suspect? Who ordered the gun shot attack on Becki’s life?
To make things even easier we have created a poll, Who ordered the gun shot attack on Becki's life? So you can give your vote on that subject. All votes will be done anonymously so there’s nothing for you to be afraid of ;-)
But please enlighten me with your personal opinion and you’re more than welcome to even post some comments here – thanks!
And I promise to enlighten you at one point of who I think is responsible for the gun shot attack on Becki’s life!
Meanwhile please hang tight …
