Even in times of rapid spread of "Bird Flu" in Thailand the Full Moon Party here on Koh Phangan paradise island is still going on like the monthly top event ! Let's only hope that you didn't go for the famous "chicken sandwich" at chicken corner otherwise strange things could start happening with you in the short future .... aehm :-)
Well, it was a shiny and bright full moon night again in February 2004 and at least a few thousand "farangs" - as they call us - somehow managed to find their way to Haad Rin beach to join for the monthly Full Moon Party act. The "Taxi Mafia" as i call them was also present like usual and you could hear them shouting from far away "TAXI - Thongsala - Go now - Go now !" And to be honest ... they will never drive you home to your bungalow immediately. Instead they just bring you around the corner to the taxi car and let you relax there sometimes for a couple of hours. That's what i call Thai Style ... be patient - hehehe ;-)
However, the Full Moon Party was a lot of fun again. Meeting friends, making new friends and observe some strange humans which i enjoy most all the time. Real funny were the two giggling chicks I met that morning and only Buddha might know what kind of mind altering substances they both had for breakfast. I suppose it was a real good E%$t*&;@ as they didn't stop giggling for at least 15 minutes :-) One of the two chicks had her foot wraped up in a 7/11 plastic bag and probably this might have been the reason why they had such a great time - very funny ;-)

Taxi Mafia ! |
Thommy Resort was hosting quite a good psy trance party with some lovely tunes and lots of people enjoying themselves. The energy there was nice and smooth and everybody seemed to have a real good time. Zoom Bar, formerly overtaken by our Israeli friends as their meeting point on Full Moon, somehow seems to transform to a local Thai meeting point. Over the last few months the Zoom Bar has become the place for the young Thai people to participate the Full Moon Party. Music is mainly mixed by local Thai Disk Jockeys and also the dance floor is mainly filled with local Thais practising their first steps in psy trance movements. Always really funny to look at :-)
This time I couldn't be bothered to check out "The Original Full Moon Party" at Paradise Bungalows because the music there ALWAYS *^%#%! aehm ... using some more wise words now as I got a hint from DJ Flux at Paradise Bungalows the other day telling me that my personal opinion is fu&#@ing bad advertisment for them :-( Sooo ... better write some nice stuff :-)
Here are some highly interesting facts live from DJ Flux => "I think you know, that there are different kind of musical styles and tastes to be satisfied ... and I know that DJ'A' is a very respected DJ... not just in HaadRin ... I even know a dj booking agency that says DJ'A' is the best DJ that came out of Thailand ever !!!"
Hmhm .. who would have thought that ;-) Well ...to be honest the music at Paradise Bungalows is just not my style and musical taste. But that's only Becki's personal opinion ! Others might have enjoyed it and had the best party of their lives at the "Original Full Moon Party" at Paradise Bungalows ! Anyway .... Paradise Party was finished quite early that morning around 7 a.m.

Cactus Bar, Drop In Club and all the others nothing special to say about. The usuall party stuff i would say ;-) So ... hopefully all of you had a good time. Hopefully all of you stayed away from that delicious "Chicken Sandwich" and hopefully you all will stay in good conditions for the next Full Moon Party event.
