Well … time again to introduce you to a nice place with some very nice people. After traveling around in S.E. Asia for a couple of Years Soeren and Thip have finally decided to settle down at one of the worlds most beautiful islands called Ko Pangan!
Soeren is originally from Denmark and while traveling around S.E. Asia discovering the Asian culture he somehow managed to find the most beautiful treasure in the Asian region called Thip – his wife ;-)
Thip comes from Korat a city in the North Eastern region of Thailand also called Nakhon Rachasima. They both then decided to do a bit more traveling for another 3 years to other countries like Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia and Malaysia and so on. Probably staying most of their time in some ‘shitty’ guesthouse places and other lodges not being very satisfied … I suppose ;-)
Therefore they both had the great idea to create a place, where backpackers from all around the world would feel like it is a “second home” on their journey. Same Same Lodge and Restaurant was opened in March 2004 and is located 150 meters from Haad Rin’s eastern and best beach. Just a couple of meters behind Paradise Bungalow on the way to Backyard Club. You can’t miss it!

Same-Same Lodge & Guesthouse consists of 16 upstairs and 4 downstairs rooms with twin or double bed, fan and private shower. The room prices range from 300 to 450 Baht and is based on simple and clean rooms for a fair price. The staff and management is friendly and helpful. So … let their friendly service and relaxed atmosphere present you a truly enjoyable memory :-)

Same Same is also well equipped for your entertainment. They got both a pool table and a soccer table. A massive TV screen is also waiting including a large DVD library where you can choose the latest Hollywood crap for your brain stimulation. They also got a small library of books and magazines and the Bangkok Post is delivered daily to keep you up to date with the happenings in the rest of the world.

Same-Same also organizes monthly trips around the island to visit some of the main island spots like the Phaeng Waterfall & Mountain View, Haad Salad for some swimming and snorkeling. A herbal steam at Wat Pho sauna and a relaxed sunset cocktail at ‘Amstardam Bar’ before going back to Same Same Restaurant for that delicious Korean B.B.Q. – something you really shouldn’t miss!
