As the New Year 2009 blossom may the journey of your life be fragrant with new opportunities, your days be bright with new hopes and your heart be happy with love!
Love to you all & the best wishes from the Koh Phangan Island News Headquarters.
New reports have been received and also officially reconfirmed by Koh Phangan Island News Headquarters that the so called Haad Rin Business Association was again charging an entrance fee of 100 THB only for each foreign tourist arriving for the New Years Eve party at world infamous Haad Rin beach.
What first started as a Full Moon Party entrance fee only for tourist arriving from neighboring Koh Samui Island soon developed to a general Full Moon Party Fee for all foreign tourists wanting to celebrate the bright Full Moon at world infamous Haad Rin Beach at the south coast of Koh Pha-Ngan Island.
Now new regulations by the Haad Rin Business Association have been reconfirmed and a general Haad Rin Party Fee will now be charged of every foreign tourist arriving either from Koh Samui by boat or from any other destination by taxi, car or motorbike.
The new Haadrin Beach Party Fee will be charged for all major party events like Christmas Eve, New Years Eve, Thai New Year (Songkran Festival) and of course every Full Moon Party!
Entrance Fee will be 100 THB per foreign tourist while Thais can enter for free, of course!
Road blocks by local security forces will be setup at all major entry points at Hadrin Beach, e.g. the pier and main access road and tourist will be issued with a wristband as proof of paid entry.
Tourists already staying at Hadrin beach won’t be charged an entrance fee as long as they don’t leave Haadrin Beach area. If you decide to go for an island tour throughout the day and arrive at the Haadrin Party Road Block Entrance Fee Gate early evening you will be forced to pay the Haadrin Party Entrance Fee of 100 THB only!
Amazing Thailand? Unforgettable Thailand? Sabai … Sabai 😉
Although security forces are next to non existence, the protected sleeping area has been removed months ago, a public health care service does not exist at all and the beach cleanup in the morning is done by some cheap labour Burmese guys, the so called Haad Rin Business Association still claims that the enormous profit collected from unsuspecting foreign tourists is used to clean and secure the beach.
A massive scam? A typical rip off? You better decide!
Though there are new rumors about a brand new beach cleaning machine! Isn’t that awesome 😉
And finally a few reports have been received by reliable Island sources stating that a German long term tourist, who had been on and off the island for the last few years and decided to open up a shop at Hadrin Beach, had been electrocuted by some faulty equipment, a wet floor and a typical island style electric wire installation.
This incident was reported a few days prior to the New Years Eve Party. May God bless his soul!
So … enjoy the new Haad Rin Party Fee & a Happy New Year!
