Trip Summary
The Tour begins at the meeting point in Thongsala at 9am. There you’ll be greeted with a nice light breakfast of fresh fruits, tasty cookies, coffee and tea. After which you head inland to mingle with Elephants. Feed them a banana or two and they’ll gladly show you around the jungle. Next head over to the famous Chinese Temple perched beautifully over Chaloklum Bay. Sounds brilliant especially for new tourists on KPG. I’ve been the road way several times and nearly had several accidents, witnessed MANY on those roads so the Safari Boat would definitely be the most chilled option, chok dii mak 🙂

The elephants are underweight and i am reluctant to recommend anyone do the trek when the owners aren’t caring for their animals properly
i used to like the regaee boat that used to go from haad rin, probably the best boat trip in the world!! ha ha!! does anyone know if it is still going?? i still go to thailand but not phangan so wouldnt know!!
Waves too big right now. There’s always one reggae boat trip or another popping up. Always the same route but the personalities of the guides makes all the difference
I went on this trip when i was on koh phangan. It was crap and they cherged extra to ride the elephants. Really pissed. I should have done one of the other eco tours as my neighbors in my resort who went on one said they were good. And why did they do a short boat ride up the island . why. could have doen it quick and less noise in a car. I dont think it was good value at all. Go to one of the other eco safari trips.

i went with then 2 weeks ago and was EXCELENT!!! (food, staff, breakfast, boat everything no. 1 . Probably you take one of the CRAPY ECO TOURS, because 5 hours boat ride doesn`t seems to me as a short boat ride. Extra charge about elephant problably missunderstood just you (or you don`t wanna understant) because, thay have 2 price (2 chicie-specially for you :)) 1 for elephant trekking and other one for people who don`t wanna ride. get it?

Having worked in animal welfare in Asia I can confirm that the elephants are badly fed and treated. If you want a humane elephant experience visit the exceptional Elephant Nature Park, 1 hour north of Chang Mai where you will be able to interact with these wonderful creatures in a totally non-exploitive way and get an education in some of the horrors that they have to endure at other elephant camps.
Agreed. The elephants are not well taken care of and they now have a four year old elephant with a basket on it’s back taking people for rides I guess. I can’t say for sure, but he/she stands there with a basket on it’s back. Too young for giving people rides. If you love animals please do not support them.
if you love animal do support them because otherwise they will not have a money to feed these beautiful giants
i have lived in Chiang Mai for a year before and thought the elephant ride were still very cool. i was in the middle of a jungle, most u beach hoppers didn’t get to see this part of the island..my elephant kept stopping in the middle of tracks but the trainer seem nice about it and letting her wonders around. well extra riding time for my money.
snorkling in hadd kon was choice! the water was beautiful but wish they stayed longer. the boat was a bit slow but i got a nice sun tan at the end of day and the big fat boat driver turned up to be a real crack up. he even let me smoke his joint!

SO it is a drug trip where you can smoke illegal drugs. Looks like the owner is asking his customers to leave comments here saying how amazing his trip is. Beware of this.
the farang owner of this is giving ‘back hand’ of 100bhat direct to staff working in travel agents and resorts so that the two other thai run safari’s lose buinsess and they promote his. also told owners of some agencys are not happy staff being given money direct. this guy is going to get a big problem soon. thinks he is protected as marry a thai but he is not. heard one of the other companiys going to give him a problem.

I would say local samui people are very nice, but specialy Isaan and north people very rude, selfish and uneducated sometimes aggressive.
