Four more police transferred as fallout from Koh Phangan drug parties continues!
The chief of the regional police has ordered the transfer of four more Koh Phangan police officers as investigations continue into allegations that local Koh Phangan police including the chief on the island were involved in organising drug parties.
Two bars in Had Rin, Bello Bar & Reggae House, have been ordered shut as of last week in the case in which station chief Pol Colonel Somchai Noppasri and deputy Surakit Khlaiudom have already been transferred to inactive posts as they are under investigation.

Yesterday Region 8 chief Maj Gen Sorasak Yenprom ordered four more Koh Phangan police officers – three with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel – to be transferred to headquarters pending the ongoing inquiry.
A top level meeting has been convened this morning, 17th. January 2018, at 9am, reported Thai Rath.
Many drugs were found at the beach venues on October 8th in military raids.
