Thanks beer drinkers! Pagoda built out of empty beer bottles on Koh Phangan island

Besides a hangover, what is the result of a full moon party and any other party on Koh Phangan?

Beer bottles, lots of them.

Many bars and resort owners have donated them to a monk at buddhist temple Thong Nai Pan and he is building a 10 meter pagoda out of them.

The beer pagoda project will be completed  in a few months and will be a positive display of what the party tourists have unknowingly contributed to the locals and the cultural fabric of the island.

Thank you beer drinkers. Cheers!
