During the days after Koh Phangan’s infamous Full Moon Party at Had Rin beach the secret headquarters of Koh Phangan Island News received numerous reports from different reliable sources around the island that something might have happened at the Full Moon Party Aug 16th 2008.

Koh Phangan Island News headquarters first received a few reports about a young male western tourist who was found overdosed with drugs behind the Zoom / Vinyl Club during the Full Moon Party.

Reliable sources further added that the overdosed young male western tourist was later being transported via high speed boat to nearby hospital in Koh Samui. Eye witnesses directly at the scene reported that the young male tourist was in serious critical conditions with foam coming out of his mouth.

So far Koh Phangan Island News headquarters have not received any further “official updates” about the health status of the young male western tourist though some sources say that he died during the transport to Koh Samui. This incident has a high probability as it was reported by different multiple sources. For any further information please leave a comment here – thank you!

Koh Phangan Island News additionally received a few minor reports about a male or possible female western tourist who drowned in the ocean during the Full Moon Party at Hadrin beach Koh Phangan. This incident was reported by trustful sources from Hadrin beach and other parts of the island though no official report can be found elsewhere on Koh Phangan. So this report has a medium probability and must be treated as ‘island gossip’ or simply ‘island rumor’ until we manage to get this reconfirmed by island officials. If you have any information or insights about this case then please leave a message here – thank you!

Furthermore another incident was reported where a young male western tourist was killed in an accident in a toilet at Hadrin beach Koh Phangan due to false electrical installation. ‘Island gossip’ further added that the young male western tourist died instantly because of the electric shock caused by the messy electrical wiring in the wet toilet. Again, no official confirmation can be found elsewhere so this information has a low probability status and therefore must be treated as ‘Island Gossip’ and is only published here to find out more information about this incident. So if you know anything or can provide some more information then please leave a message here – thank you again!

Finally a car motorbike accident has been reported early morning after the Full Moon Party near 7/11 supermarket in Baan Tai village between Hadrin beach and Thongsala. This incident also has the status of low probability as no further information about this accident could be revealed to this moment. If you know or have seen anything then please let us know by posting a comment here – thank you!

Quite interesting to notice at the moment is the present missing flow of information on Koh Phangan Island regarding any Full Moon Party incidents. It seems like nothing has happened though actually the word in the jungle is that something has happened indeed.

Getting anything officially re-confirmed at the moment proofs to be quite difficult as most people simply benefit from Koh Phangan’s monthly economic boost – the world famous Full Moon Party – and any domestic or international negativity about the island’s monthly top event would cause a devastating financial loss to the fragile economic system on Koh Phangan Paradise Island.

All the Full Moon Party incidents in this article must be strictly seen as pure island gossip as no official confirmation has been received to this very moment.

It seems that there is some sort of cover up agenda on Koh Phangan Paradise Island at the moment? But safety of the tourists can only be improved by reporting about those incidents and put public pressure on Koh Phangan Island Officials to finally enhance the safety of the tourists travelling to Koh Phangan Island.

So if you can provide any more detailed information about any Full Moon Party incident listed above then please leave a comment here and help to spread the awful truth – thank you!

well I’m totally aware about the cover up agenda during the last 20 years. But let’s say 10 years ago something happened somewhere on the island then you could just go and ask the locals and they would tell you what happened.

Now … even the locals don’t tell you anything anymore … which i find quite interesting.

There was no full moon party on 16 Aug 2008. there was one on the 6th Aug 2008, is it a typo or a plain rumour?

We hoped to find some good news here about the young man found with an overdose behind the zoom club, because we walked to the scene when another tourist tried to save the young man’s life and after too many minutes waiting for a vehicle we finally loaded him on the “car” that was supposed to bring him to an hospital, but actually none of us had a positive feeling about the young man’s future.
If anybody can give me some (hopefully) good news, please post an answer here.
    We are still hoping…

I met a guy where I’m staying (Coral Bungalows) who said that on his way home from the FMP, he saw a young Swedish male backpacker – early 20’s – on his back right by the ferry to Samui… and that he was dead. Apparently he choked on his own vomit or something like that. My friend said his face was blue and that he had been dead for a while. Very sad.

Sorry to hear about these casualties, but like said above, its been happening for years and years. Like I’ve said on previous posts people, YOU HAVE TO BE REALLLLLLY USING YOUR HEAD WHEN STAYING ON KPG!!!! If you do this, you’ll be fine! 🙂
If your used to going to Ibiza etc etc and then thinking you can go as mental on KPG without anything happening, your sadly mistaken.
Anyway, take care and enjoy this “unique” place before it turns into a “Normal” place…. 🙁 haaa
